Open dress made of rustic cotton printed with the traditional Block Print technique, characteristic of Rajasthan. Block Print is one of the most representative textile expressions of Rajasthan and one they are deeply proud of. It is done using carved wooden blocks and applied manually.
The pieces incorporate antique embroidered yokes, ranging from traditional ones with protective mirrors to denser Mughal-style ones.
The dialogue between the print and the embroidery creates a rich and complex aesthetic, where different layers of textile tradition overlap in the same garment.
