Bag made entirely by hand by an indigenous community from Papua New Guinea. This community lives in the Southern Highlands, in the province of Mendi, in the village of Pangia.<\/p>\n
Their customs are deeply rooted in the land; their life is that of gatherers\/hunters. They wear practically no clothes. Their worldview is very similar to that of Australian aborigines. They share much of their mysticism and mythological legends, and their attachment to nature.<\/p>\n
These bags are made completely by hand. Not only the weaving of the bag but also the spinning is totally artisanal and primitive, without the use of a spinning wheel or loom. The knots and finishes that prove their authenticity can be appreciated.<\/p>\n
