The fabric is cotton but the natural dyeing is done with an artisanal resist technique consisting of making small knots that are reserved from the total dyeing of the garment, resulting in those irregular dots. Artisanal dyeing may have small defects, irregularities, or minimal color transfers, which denotes its authenticity.
The pattern is beautiful. Very Indian. It has a very powerful Mughal-inspired embroidery on the yoke.
